(a) Brass is a homogeneous mixture also called alloy. The constituents are Cu and Zn. Diamond is an element. It is an allotropic form of carbon.
(b) In a chemical change, a new substance is formed as a result of chemical reaction. No new substanceis formed in a physical change.
