Define a solution. If 10 mL of `H_(2)SO_(4)` are dissolved in 90 mL of water, calculate concentration of solution.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

For the definition of solution.
Volume of `H_(2)SO_(4)` (solute) = 10 mL
Volume of water (solvent) = 90 mL
Volume of solution = (90 + 10) mL
Concentration of solution = `("Volume of solute")/("Volume of solution")xx 100 = ((10mL))/((100mL))xx 100 = 10%`
