(i) It is an example of displacement reaction. Since `Cl_(2)` is more reactive than `I_(2)`, it displaces the same from KI solution. Violet fumes of iodine appear from the tube.
(ii) It is an example of addition reaction. The compound KCl contains both K and Cl as its constituents.
