What are antacids ? Name two compounds which are used as antacids ?

These are the compounds which are anti acids i.e. they neutralise the effect of acidity in stomatch and given relief from pain. These are therefore, basic in nature. For example, magnesium hydroxide `[Mg(OH)_(2)]` and sodium hydrogen carbonate `(NaHCO_(3)).`
