The radii of the faces of a frustum of a cone are 3 cm and 4 cm and its height is 5 cm find its volumen.

Text Solution

Here r=3 cm ,R=cm h=5cm
Volume of frustum of cone =`(1)/(3)pih(R^(2)+r^(2)+Rr)` cu units.
`=((1)/(3)xx(22))/((7)xx5(4^(2))+3^(2)+4xx3)`
`=((1)/(3)xx(110))/((7)(16+9+12))`
`=(110)/(21)xx37=(4070)/(21)cm^(3)`
