When high power heater is used at homes ...

When high power heater is used at homes all bulbs being used become dim. Why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

All appliances are connected in parallel in house. When high power heater is used, very high current passes through it. So potential difference on mains wires increases and potential drop at mainswitch board of house decreases (V=E-ir, here r is resistance of main line) which results in decrease in intensity of bulbs.
