Two electric bulbs whose resistances are...

Two electric bulbs whose resistances are in the ratio of `1:2` are connected inparallel to a constant voltage source. The powers dissipated in them have the ratio

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let resistance of bulbs are R and 2R
Power dissipated `P=(V^(2))/(R) therefore P_(1)=(V^(2))/(R)`
and `P_(2)=(V^(2))/(2R) therefore (P_(1))/(P_(2))=(2)/(1)`
