Associated colloidas are formed by electrolytes so they are dissociated into ions and these ions associate together to form ionic micells whose size lies in the colloidal range, e.g., soaps.
Multimolecular colloids- formed by the aggregation of a large number of simple molecules. Macromolecular colloids-due to large size of the molecules themselves.
