Medel was a great Mathematrician and was Austrian Mok. He became interested in genetics and conducted experiments in pea plant (Pisum sativum). He hybridised the contrasting characters of the plant and conducted his experiments for more than 10years between 1856-1863, this experimental data was published in 1865.
