A variety of proteins are synthesised on ribosomes . Howerver , these have different destinations . David Sabatini and G. Blobel proposed singal sequence hypothesis according to which a short amino acid sequence at the amino terminus of a newly synthesised polypeptide directs a protein to its appropriate sequence.
