Find out current in the circuit and charge on capacitor which is initially uncharged in the following situations.
(a) Just after the switch is closed.
(b) After a long time when switch was closed.

Text Solution

(a) For just after closing the switch : potential difference across capacitor = 0

`:. Q_(c)=0 " " :. I = (10)/(2)=5A`
(b) After a long time
at steady state current `i=0`
and potential difference across capacitor = 10 V
`:. Q_(c)=3xx10=30C`
