How many silver coins, 1.75 cm in diameter and of thickness 2 mm, must be melted to form a cuboid of dimensions `5. 5 c mxx10 c mxx3. 5 c m`?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

let the no of coins be `n`
l`n*vol` of silver coins = vol of cuboid
`n*pi*r^2h= L*B*H`
`n= (L*B*H)/(pi r^2 h)`
`n = (5.5*10*3.5*2*2)/(22*1.75*1.75*0.2)`
`=400`
