In a `triangle ABC` the sides `BC=5, CA=4` and `AB=3`. If `A(0,0)` and the internal bisector of angle A meets BC in D `(12/7,12/7)` then incenter of `triangle ABC` is

A

`(2,2)`

B

`(3,2)`

C

`(2,3)`

D

`(1,1)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

We have `a=5,b=4,c=3`
Incentre I divides AD int the ratio `b+c:a`.
Therefore,I divides AD in the ratio `7:5`
Hence, coordinates of I are (1,1).
