When 15g of copper sulphate react with 15 g of sodium hydroxide, 20g of sodium suphate along with copper hydroxide is formed .What is the mass of copper hydroxide formed?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The chemical reation taking place is:
Copper sulphate + soldium hydroxide `rarr` sodium suphate + copper hydroxide
(15g) (15g) (20g) (x)
On the basis law of conservation of mass:
Mass of copper hydroxide (x) =(15g +15g) -(20g) =10g
