Why can we use gold and platinum in jewellery ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Both these metals are very hard, malleable and ductile. Since they lie at the bottom of the activity series, they have very low reactivity. As a result, these metals do not lose lustre and are used in jewellery.
