Describe the elongation process transcription in bacteria.

After initiation, RNA polymerase loses the initiation factor ( `sigma`) but continues the polymerisation of ribo nucleotides to form RNA. It uses nucleoside triphosphates as substrate and polymerises 1n a template-dependent fashion, following the rule of complementarity
