The two most commonly used bioreactors are simple stirred-tank bioreactor and sparged stirred -tank bioreactors. The importance of using bioreactors is as follows :
(i) It provides large volume for cultures. Thus, products are obtained in high quantity.
(ii) It provides optimal conditions like temperatures and pH for growth of desired product.
