a) Plants: The annual and biennial types show clear cut vegetative, reproductive and senescent phase. A feww plants exhibits unusual flowering phenomenon. Such as bamboo species flowers only one in their life time only. Another plant, strobilanthes kunthiana flowers once in 12 years.
b) In plants, the units of vegetative propogation such as runner rhizome, sucker, tuber, offset, bulb are all capable of giving rise to new offspring. These structures are called vegetative propogules.
For exmple, i) Small plants energing from the buds of the potato tuber. (ii) From the rhizomes of banana and ginger.
