A modern technique that can help in DNA fingerprinting. The technique of DNA fingerprinting was initially developed by Alec Jeffreys. He used a satellite DNA as probe the shows very high degree of polymophism. It was called as Veriable Number of Tandem Repeat (VNTR). The VNTR belongs to a class of satellite. DNA referred as a mini satellite since DNA same degree of polymorphism, they become use tool in forensic applications.
