In humans, female has homogametic (XX) and male has heterogametic (XY) sex chromosomes. In humans, sperm is responsible for sex of the offspring. Males have 22 Pairs of autonomies and XY sex chromosomes. Females have 22 pairs of sutonomies chromosomes and 50% carrying one Y chromosome along with 22 sutonomies. Female produces only one type, ovum having 22X chromosomes. If the ovum is fertilized by X carrying sperm, The Zygote (XX) develops into a female. If the ovum is fertilized by Y carrying sperm. The zygote (XY) develops into a male.
