Why the endosperm of angiosperm is triploid?

In angiosperms during fertilization process one make gamete fuses with the female gamete to form zygote. Another sperm nucleus (n) fuses with the definitive nucleus (2n) to form endosperm nucleus (3n). So the endosperm is triploid (3n).
