Vital capacity : It is the volume of air which can be breathed out of the lungs by forced expiration after forced inspiration.
vital capacity = Inspiratory capcity `+` Expiratory reserve volume
Value : It is about `(3500+1100)` ml = 4600 ml in normal adult.
