(b) Why more `H_(2)CO_(3)` is formed in RBC than in plasma?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

More `H_(2)CO_(3)` is formed in RBC than in plasma because RBC is rich in the enzyme because RBC is rich in the enzyme carbonic anhydrase necessary for the reaction of formation of `H_(2)CO_(3)` from `H_(2)O` and `CO_(2), H_(2)O+CO_(2) overset("carbonic anhydrase")rarr H_(2)CO_(3)`
