It is a disease due to either low insulin formation or less secretion of insulin. Less susceptibility of tissue cells to insulin also cause this disease.
Hyposecretion of ADH or vasopressin from posterior pituitary caused diabetes insipidus. Deficiency of ADH causes diabets insipidus. Deficiency of ADH causes less reabsorption of water from the renal tubule, that results in excess urine formation and excretion but glucose does not appear in the urine.
