In this reaction ,the oxidation number of bromine increase from 0-1 to and 0 the oxidation number of chlorine decrease from 0 to 1 , In this case NaBr gets oxidisesd whereas `CI_(2)` gets reduced .Hence,this reaction is a redox reaction`overset(-1)(2NaBr)+overset(0)CI_(2)to2Naoverset(-1)(CI)+overset(0)Br_(2)`
