20 ml. solution of 0.1 (M) `FesO_(4)` was completely oxidised using a suitable oxidising agent .What is the number of the electrons

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

20Ml of 0.1 (m) `FeSO_(4)=(0.1)/(1000)x20`
`=2xx10^(-3)` mol of `Fe^(2+)`
`Fe2^(+)`is oxidised to `Fe^(3+)` ,leaving I electon.
Hence ,the number of electrons exchanged by `2xx10^(-3)` mol `Fe^(2+)is -2xx10^(-3)xx6.022xx10^(23)`
