The correct Answer is:
c

Number of beats per second when that air column of resonance tube n=3
If n be frequency of tuning fork
Then `n prop sqrt(T ) [ T to` temperature
`(n_(1))/( n_(2)) = sqrt((T_(1))/(T_(2))`
At `51^(@) C, T_(1) = 273 + 51 = 324 k`
`n_(1) = n +3` { frequency of tuning fork increase at the higher temperature }
At `16^(@)C, T = 273 + 16 = 289 K`
`n_(2) = n-3` [At lower temperature frequency of the tuning fork decrease ]
`(n_(1))/(n_(2)) = sqrt((324)/(298)) rArr (n+3)/( n-3) = (18)/(17)`
`18n - 54 = 17n + 51`
`rArr 18 n - 17n = 54 + 51 rArr n =105 Hz`

A column of air at 51^(@)C and a tuning fork produce 4 beats per sec when sounded together. As the temperature of the air column is decreased, the number of beats per sec tends to decrease and when the temperature is 16^(@)C the two produce 1 beat per see. Find the frequency of the tuning fork.

An air column in tun=be 32cm long, closed at one end, is in resonace with a tuning fork. The air column in another tube, open at both ends, of length 66cm is in resonance with another tuning frok. When those two tuning forks are sounded together , they produce 8 beats per second together, they produce 8 beats per second. then the frquencies of the twpo tuning forks are, (consider fundamental frequencies only)

An air column, closed at one end and open at the other, resonates with a tuning fork when the smallest length of the column is 50 cm. The next larger length of the column resonating with the same tuning fork is:

64 tuning forks are arranged such that each fork produces 4 beats per second with next one. If the frequency of the last fork is octave of the first, the frequency of 16th fork is

A string under a tension of 129.6 N produces 10 beats per sec when it is vibrated along with a tuning fork. When the tension in the string is increased to 160 N, it sounds in unison with the same tuning fork, Calculate the fundamental frequency of the tuning fork.

When a vibrating tuning fork is placed on a sound box of a sonometer, 8 beats per second are heard when the length of the sonometer wire is kept at 101cm or 100cm. Then the frequency of the tuning frok is (consider that the tension in the wire is kept constant)

64 tuning forks are arranged such that each fork produces 4 beats per second with next one. If the frequency of the last fork is octave of the first, the frequency of 16^(th) fork is
