State whether a particle having constant...

State whether a particle having constant acceleration may have a velocity of constant magnitude.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Velocity of constant magnitude may change its direction with time. This results in change in velocity as velocity is a vector quantity. Hence there is a non-zero acceleration, because acceleration = `("change in velocity")/("time")`.
