Draw the velocity -time graph of a body moving (i) with uniform acceleration , (ii) with increasing acceleration and (iii) with decreasing acceleration.

In a velocity-time graph slope of the graph gives the acceleration.
(i) Graph in this case is a straight line as the acceleration of the body is uniform i.e, constant and so the slope of the straight line is also constant as shown in Fig. 1.41 line 1.
(ii) Slope of v-t graph will gradually increase with increasing acceleration. The graph will be a curved line represented by line 2 in Fig. 1.41.
(iii) On the other hand the slope decreases with decreasing acceleration. Thus the graph will be a curved line represented by line 3 line 3 in Fig 1.41.
