A truck, of mass 1000 kg pulls a trailer of mass 3000 kg using a rope. Frictional force between truck and road, and trailer and road are 1000 N and 2000 N respectively. If the truck engine applies a force of 8000 N, (i) what is the acceleration of the trailer and (ii) what is the tension in the rope between the truck and the trailer?
