Does work done against gravity depend on the speed of lifting a body ? Explain .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Magnitude of work done to raise a body through a height h,
W= weight of the body `xx` height
Thus work done does not depend on the time of rise, i.e., the speed of doing the work .
