Two bodies A and B weighing 5kg and 6kg respectively have equal momentum . Which one has more kinetic energy ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Kinetic energy `E_k=1/2 mv^2=1/2((m^2v^2)/m)=(p^2)/(2m)`
where=p=mv= momentum .
Thus the body with lower mass of 5kg , i.e., the body A has higher kinetic energy.
