The molar specific heat capacity at cons...

The molar specific heat capacity at constant volume of a mono atomic gas is `(3//2)` R, where R is universal gas constant. Find the value of molar specific heat capacity of the gas at constant pressure.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given, `C_(v) = 3/2 R`
From the relation `C_(p) - C_(v) = R`, we have
`C_(p) = C_(v) + R = 3/2 R + R = 5/2 R`.
