Equation of motion of a particle executi...

Equation of motion of a particle executing SHM is `x=5sin(4t-pi/6)m`, where x is the displacement. If the displacement is 3 m, find the velocity of the particle?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Velocity, `v=(dx)/(dt)=5xx4cos(4t-pi/6)`
= `20sqrt(1-sin^(2)(4t-pi/6))=20sqrt(1-(x/5)^(2))`
If x = 3m, then
`v=20sqrt(1-(3/5)^(2))=20xx4/5=16m*s^(-1)`.
