The equation, `(d^(2)x)/(dt^(2))+ax=0`, represents an SHM.
Find its time period.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Comparing the given equation with the general equation of SHM, `(d^(2)x)/(dt^(2))+omega^(2)x=0`, we get,
`omega^(2)=alphaor,omega=sqrtalpha`
`therefore` Time period, `T=(2pi)/omega=(2pi)/sqrtalpha`.
