A stationary wave having 5 loops is gene...

A stationary wave having 5 loops is generated in a 10 m long wire . What is the frequency, if the wave velocity is 20 ` m * s^(-1)` ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If `lambda` is the wavelength, length of each loop ` = (lambda)/(2)`
` :.` Length of 5 loops ` = 5 *(lambda)/(2) = 10 m `
So, frequency, ` n = (V)/(lambda) = (20)/(4) = 5 ` Hz.
