Both of a sound source and a listener are approaching towards each other with the same speed ` (c)/(10)` (speed of sound in air = c) . What will be the percentage of apparent increase or decrease in frequency of sound ?

Apparent frequency,
` n.= (c + u_(o))/(c- u_(S)) n `
So , apparent increases in frequency,
` n. - n = (u_(o) + u_(S))/(c - u_(S)) n `
` therefore ` Percentage of change in frequency
` = (n.- n)/(n) xx 100 = (u_(O) + u_(S))/(c - u_(S)) xx 100`
` ((c)/(10)+ (c)/(10))/(c- (c)/(10)) xx 100 = 2/9 xx 100 = 22.2 % `
