A conductance cell has platinum electrodes, each with 5 `cm^(2)` area and separated by 0.5 cm distance. What is the cell constant?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given :
Length = 0.5 cm
Area = 5 `cm^(2)`
Formula : Cell constant = `l/a`
Solution : Cell constant = `(0.5cm)/(5cm^(2))`
`" "=0.1 cm^(-1)`
Cell constant = `0.1 cm^(-1)`.
