Give, Potential difference (V)=220V
Resistance of each coil=`24Omega`
The cmTent in given three case i.e. when used -separately when used in parallel, when used in series ?
Case 1 : When used separately, then resistance `R=24Omega` and V=220 V
We know: `I=V//R=220V-:24Omega=9.16A`
Total effective resistance`=24Omega+24Omega=48Omega`
Hence, electric current can be calculate as follows,
I=V/R=200V`-:58Omega=4.58A`
Case 3: When the two resistors are connected in parallel
Then, `1/R=1/(24Omega)+1/(24Omega)=(1+1)/(24Omega)=1/(12)Omega`
Therefore, total effective resistance R`=12Omega`
Thus, electric current I=V/R=220V`-:12Omega=18.33A`
Thus, electric through the circuit
when coil is used separaltely =9.16A
When coil are used in series=4.58A
When coils are used in parallel=18.33 A
