Why are some patients of diabetes treated b-y giving injections of insulin ?

Diabetes is caused due to less or no secretion of the hormone insulin by pancreas. In such a person, the blood sugar level will be high. Insulin converts the extra sugar present in blood into glycon. Thus, patients suffering from diabetes are given insulin to control their blood sugar level.
