Energy flow is always unidirectional

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The flow of energy from one trophic level to next is unidirectional and non- cyclic. The energy captured by plants does not return to the sun. The energy which passes to the subsequent levels does not come back to autotrophs. The amount of energy goes on decreasing from the producers to the carnivores.
