Benzaldehyne reacts with Acetophenon with dilute NaOH undergo cross adlol condenstaion to benzalacetophenone .

Acetaldehydecyanohydrin .
Formed acidis more acidic than acetic acid .
Because of the presence of electron donatiing group in acetic acid decreases the acidity of acetic acid .
