What is pollination? Mention any four features of wind pollinated flowers

Transfer of pollen grains shed from the anther to the stigma of a pistil is termed pollination.
Features of wind pollinated flowers:
(i) Pollen grains are light and non sticky so that they can be transported in wind currents.
(ii) They possess well exposed stamens for easy dispersal in wind currents.
(iii) Possess large often - feathery stigma to easily trap air borne pollen grains.
(iv) Flowers often have a single ovule in each ovary and numerous flowers packed into an inflorescence.
