(i) Genetic modification has made the crops morc tocrant to abiotic stresses like cold , heat , drought , salinity etc .
(ii) Post - harvest losses are much reduced . (iii) Food produced from GM ( Genetically modified ) crops has enchanced nutritional value and taste .
As the plants have increased efficiency of mineral usage by plants , the early exhaustion of fertitliy of soil is prevented .
