(a) Triplet code: the genetic code is a triplet code. It means that three bases of DNA code for one amino acid.
(b) Genetiic code is universal: It means that a particular mRNA codon, codes ffor the same amino acid is all living organisms, for e.g., AUG codes for amino acid methionine in all organisms.
