(a) Inbreeding depression: Continuous breeding reduces fertility and even productivity. It is called inbreeding depression,
(b) Interspecific hybridisation: Male and female animals of two different related species are mated, progeny have desirable features of both the parents.
(c) Bio fortification: It is a breeding of crops with higher levels of vitamins, minerals, proteins and healthy fats in order to improve public health.
(d) Mieropropagation: The method of producing thousands of plants through tissue culture is called micropropagation.
(e) Somociones : Plants produced by the method of micropropagation are morphologically and genetically identical to the original plants. Such plants are called somaclones.
