(1) The general equation of a parabola having its axis parallel to the y-axis is
`y=ax^(2)+bx+c` (1)
This is touched by the line y=xatx=1.
Therefore, the slope of the tangent at (1,1) is 1. Also, `x=ax^(2)+bx+c` must have equal roots, i.e.,
`((dy)/(dx))_((1","1))=1and(b-1)^(2)=4ac`
`or2a+b=1and(b-1)^(2)=4ac`

a+b+c=1
