What effect does the concentration of `H^(+)` (aq) ions have on the nature of the solution ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If the concentration of ` H^(+)` (aq) ions is increased ( less than seven ) `( gt 10-7) ` then the solutions becomes acidic and if the concentration of `H^(+) ` (aq) ions is decreased ( `lt 10-7) ` then the solutions becomes basic in nature.
