How is the small intestine designed to absorb digested food ?

The small intestine has millions oftiny finger like projections called villi. These villi increases the surface area for more efficient food obsorbtion. Within these villi many blood vessels are present that obsorb the digested food and carry it to the blood stream. From the blood stream, the obsorbed food is delivered to each ande every cell of the body.
