Biodegradable substance are those substance which are broken down into simpler, harmless substances in nature in due course of time by the biological process such as microorganisms like certain bacteria. Non-biodegradable substance are those substance which cannot be broken down into simpler, harmless substance in nature. Two biodegradable pollutants are agricultural waste and sewage.
